Day shift, 5x8 hours (07 : 30 - 16 : 00) with variable start times of 0730, 0800, or 0830.

\n\nJob Description\n

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in endoscopic procedures and demonstrate expertise in conscious sedation and monitoring. A strong focus on patient care and procedural assistance is essential.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Administering and monitoring conscious sedation during procedures.

    • \n

  • Performing endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, and others.

    • \n

  • Ensuring proper specimen handling and labeling.

    • \n

  • Operating and processing endoscopic equipment.

    • \n

  • Maintaining patient safety and comfort in pre- and post-procedure settings.

    • \n

  • Collaborating with physicians and support staff to ensure optimal care delivery.

    • \n

  • Obtaining 12 lead EKG / ECG and starting and maintaining IVs as required.

    • \n

  • Participating in instrument processing and cleaning.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with expertise in Endoscopy preferred.

    • \n

  • Certifications : ACLS and BLS are required.

    • \n

  • Experience with Epic charting system is required.

    • \n

  • Prior experience in teaching hospitals and community hospitals is preferred.
