The Internal Auditor I will provide objective information on the County's system of internal controls to the Board of Supervisors so they can make informed decisions and protect the interests of County citizens. We'll count on you to perform engagement fieldwork such as conducting interviews / tests, gathering information / evidence, and reviewing financial statements / reports. Your role is essential as you'll determine whether the County's financial and accounting systems, departmental operations, programs, and contracts are compliant with federal and state laws, grant requirements, and County policies.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, or a related fieldUndergrads must have their degree before employment start datePossession of or ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hireWe also value :
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or other professional certification relevant to internal auditingKnowledge of :Generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards, and the IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal AuditingCOSO, fraud investigation procedures, and technical audit toolsResearch techniques, including interviews, sampling, literature reviews, and quantitative and qualitative analysisAudit management software and commonly used Microsoft productsJob contributions :
