PART-TIME GROUNDS & LIGHT MAINTENANCE

Gorman & Company is looking for a part time Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician who is committed to providing first class groundskeeping and light maintenance services as part of a collaborative maintenance team in the Little Rock area. Groundskeeping and Light Maintenance is one of the most important jobs for maintaining community housing properties in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition for our residents.

A day in the life of a Part-Time Grounds and Light Maintenance Technician :

  • Daily clean-up by removing trash and debris from grounds and parking lot.
  • Outdoor building maintenance - painting, light bulbs, install and / or maintain fences.
  • Assist outside contractors and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Assist in supplies inventory control and upkeep of all ground's equipment.
  • Complete corrective maintenance by completing service requests.
  • Assist with unit preparation to include painting, cleaning, repairing and / or replacing appliances, plumbing, and / or electrical fixtures.

What do I need to qualify to be a Part-Time Groundskeeper and Light Maintenance Technician?

  • Ability to work 25 hours per week.
  • Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
  • Previous grounds keeping / landscaping / maintenance experience required.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to operate lawn equipment.
  • Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
  • Good safety habits.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
