About The Role :
As a Senior Property Condition Assessor, you will prepare complex Property Condition Reports and note deficiencies observed by a professional in architecture, engineering, or construction management. This position will require some travel throughout the region.
What You'll Do :
- Conduct walk-through surveys to assess the condition of the property. Areas include mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, structure and foundations, interiors and exteriors; etc.
- This job is part of the Valuation function. They are responsible for inspecting and determining the values of land, property, and businesses.
- Interview property owners, occupants, and other key members to collect information.
- Review repair costs, occupancy, maintenance, and inspection reports.
- Collect photographs of property systems and their condition for observation.
- Prepare estimated costs for large repairs and improvements.
- Act as an authority for specialties needed.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques / procedures to accomplish tasks and solve routine problems.
- Possess a wide understanding of own job field and some understanding of several job fields within the function.
- Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Certification as either a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect preferred.Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive approach.Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
