SALARY RANGE : $22.00-$28.00 / hour based on interview outcome and overall qualifications

LOCATION : Rancho Cordova, California or Rodeo, California

About the Role :

The Shop Technician is a key member of the Field Operations team, supporting Clear Waters continued growth as we expand into new services, geographic regions, and innovative water treatment solutions. This role is primarily responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of water treatment system equipment, and pulling, prepping and delivering parts to sites located around the region.

In addition to core maintenance responsibilities, the Shop Technician will support a variety of tasks and special projects within the operations team, working collaboratively with teams across our Rancho and Rodeo-based shops. Success in this role will require strong mechanical aptitude, adaptability, and a commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Core Responsibilities :

The Shop Technician plays a key role in supporting the maintenance, repair, and testing of water treatment equipment to ensure its safe and effective operation in the field. Working closely with the Regional Field Services Manager, and Regional Operations Manager, this role ensures that all equipment is maintained to a high standard and ready for deployment by Clear Water field staff, clients, and partners.

This position also collaborates with cross-functional teamsincluding Design, Fabrication, Control Systems, and Electricalto ensure all components are built to specification, function as intended, and are installed safely and efficiently. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Shop Technician assists with the procurement, staging, and organization of equipment and materials to support streamlined treatment system builds.

A critical aspect of this role includes supporting administrative functions related to equipment and materials inventory. The Shop Technician will help track inventory levels, maintain accurate records, and assist in the coordination of reorders and restocking efforts to ensure operational readiness.

Core Responsibilities :

• Direct testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
• QA / QC, checking, tagging, and verification of equipment readiness.
• System demobilization, disassemble, and inspection of incoming parts and equipment for serviceability and / or reuse.
• Pulling, preparing, and staging parts and equipment for system installations.
• Pickup and delivery of equipment, parts and chemistry.
• Equipment and inventory documentation and recordkeeping.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements :

Work is performed primarily within Clear Waters shop and field locations. This position will be expected and required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas and while on site. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required.
