Shift : Night Shift (6 : 30 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Schedule : 3x12-hour shifts / week (36 / 36 schedule)

Position Overview

Holston Valley Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical unit with 2 years of Med / Surg and MS / Telemetry experience. This is a cardiopulmonary / Med-Surg unit in a community hospital setting. Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility. First-time travelers are accepted. The hospital supports a 36 / 36 schedule with every other weekend coverage and no call requirements. Floating between units is required.

Certifications & Requirements

RN License : Active RN license required (license in-hand at submission)

Experience : Minimum 2 years Medical Surgical and Med / Surg Telemetry experience

Travel Experience : Not required; first-time travelers accepted

Education : ADN accepted; BSN required for international travelers

Certifications :

BLS required (AHA)

ACLS preferred

NIHSS preferred

Charting System : Epic preferred

Skills & Competencies

Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, port access, and blood product administration

Skilled in central line blood draws, PICC line management, and peripheral line care

Experience with respiratory care including chest tubes, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and nasal cannula

Competent in gastrointestinal care including colostomy and feeding tube management

Knowledgeable in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry, and emergency response

Familiarity with isolation precautions and interdisciplinary support teams
