About the Role : Bowler Pons is looking for an experienced network administrator / engineer to join our team of senior professionals providing IT, network engineering, and cybersecurity support to a federal government client. Responsibilities may include :

• Providing network engineering support for a broad range of programs, to include planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the assigned network.
• Providing specifications for network architecture.
• Performing needs assessments and evaluating / recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities.
• Installing, configuring, managing, monitoring, modifying, testing, and / or servicing of network equipment.
• Resolving highly complex problems using application and interpretation of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, and deductive reasoning.
• Conducting research on and implementing network engineering best practices.
• Performing engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization and enhancement efforts for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures.
• Implementing and configuring specific network solutions to support server requirements, to include load-balancing, virtual private networks, firewalls, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), and cryptographic solutions.
• Creating and updating technical documentation and providing timely communications regarding network and system availability, performance, and issues.
