Description :

This is a medical-surgical opportunity working with a diverse patient population.

The unit is equipped with 54 beds, including a dedicated orthopedic and spine area.

Patient-to-nurse ratios are typically 1 : 5-6 for RNs and 1 : 12-15 for Patient Care Technicians.

Team dynamics include RN / LPN pairs with support from Patient Care Technicians.

Technological tools include Alaris pumps, telemetry systems, and specialty beds.

Documentation is completed using Meditech.

Staffing flexibility allows for one weekend shift within a 4-week period.

Unit secretaries are available during peak hours on weekdays.

The unit accommodates a variety of medical-surgical patients, including trauma and orthopedic cases.

Advanced skills such as critical thinking and time management are essential for success.

Procedures may include general medical issues, post-catheterizations, and other specialized tasks.

The unit promotes a positive culture with strong teamwork and support.
