Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include :

The TEF intern would support the Remote Handling group with the Volunteer Cask development / procurement. The intern would support meeting and assist in developing and tracking schedule items, as well as support status tracking for TEF projects that will be ongoing.

The hourly base rate of pay for this internship starts at $18.00, and may increase based on major and class standing.

Required Qualifications

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.

Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university, or within one year after finishing a degree program.

Must have completed freshman year of college.

Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.

Enrolled in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear) or similar technical field.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
