Description : Summary :

The Accounts Receivable Collections Manager (“Collections Manager”) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating collections efforts for all accounts receivable of the company. Specifically, the Collections Managers will manage the company’s accounts receivable cycle through the design, implementation, maintenance and management of all accounts receivable business functions and procedures.

Essential functions :

  • Proper recording and application of cash, management of outstanding invoices, and direct interfacing with customers on collection matters and dispute resolution.
  • Coordinate completeness of invoicing with operations department and designated billing coordinator(s).
  • Manage lien waiver and sworn statement process in conjunction with operational project teams and billing coordinator(s).
  • Manage company collections efforts via periodic review meetings with senior leaders / managers of the various divisions.
  • Oversee accuracy of company cash receipts processing.
  • Provide regular and standardized reporting to senior management that aids in cash forecasting and projections.
  • Make recommendations on collection disputes and recommend action for resolution (i.e. allowance reserve, write-off, referral to collection agency or legal pursuit).
  • Maintain last day worked last day and make recommendations on lien filing to preserve company lien rights.

  • Work environment :

  • This position is available for flexible work (on-site or remote).
  • Workdays are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. Additional hours may be required to achieve business objectives.
  • Requirements :

    Required qualifications :

  • 3-5 years of experience in collections is required.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry and collections is required.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Associate Degree in Business Administration or Accounting is preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications :

    Associate Degree; construction industry experience; supervisory experience.
