PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER

Among the programs and services we provide are Outpatient Mental Health Centers, Adult and Child Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs, School-Based Therapy, Community Outreach, and Residential Services.
Who We Need :
We are currently looking for a psychiatric nurse practitioner to provide outpatient psychiatry services to clients in our Baltimore and Harford County clinics. The position is 20 hours per week and hours will be split between our Catonsville and Aberdeen sites.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Diagnosis, medication management, and medical treatment as it relates to the patients’ mental health needs.
Provide crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and / or brief individual or family psychotherapy when necessary.
Coordinates with the treatment team on the implementation of appropriate treatment strategies for patients and patients’ families.Timely completion of treatment documentation in the EHR.Adhere to standards and regulations as set forth by the agency, respective licensing board, CARF, and COMAR.Abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility.Carry out the mission, philosophy of care, and policies of Key Point.Perform other duties as needed to achieve program goals and objectives.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.What you need :
Must have experience in working with and the ability to relate to the populations to which they are credentialed to work (i.e., Children, adolescents, and adults).Possess knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses as defined by the American Psychiatric Association, routine and emergency evaluation and assessment, psychiatric medications, human development, individual therapy, and family therapy.
Demonstrate competency in procedures regarding medical treatment, medication management, laboratory tests, and other medical practices and procedures that are or may become relevant to the psychiatric needs of the patient population.Demonstrate the ability to function on an interdisciplinary treatment team through excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.Demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving a culturally diverse and / or special needs population while respecting patient confidentiality.Adhere to the ethics of their respective profession.Education / Experience :
Must be a licensed CRNP-PMH
Maintain Board Eligibility or Board Certifications and all applicable licensures.
