Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring BLS and ACLS certification and at least two years of RN experience.
Responsibilities
Position is in the Interventional Radiology unit of a Level IV Trauma, major teaching hospitalAdult and geriatric patient population with a 1 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratioSpecialized procedures include angiogram, fistulogram, Permacath, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, MitraClip, mechanical thrombectomy, and embolizationCommon patient diagnoses include CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, AAA, stroke, and aneurysmUses Cerner charting system; Cerner experience preferredSchedule is 4x10 hour day shifts (7 : 30 AM–6 : 00 PM) Monday through FridayOn-call required every 5th weekend with participation in an on-call rotationMay float to the general lab as neededPrimary duties include caring for adults and geriatrics requiring specialized interventional radiology proceduresOrientation consists of two days classroom followed by unit orientation, typically starts on Thursdays every other weekModules must be completed prior to the assignment and are recorded on a transcriptPerm employees may not return as travelers until two years after last day worked in a perm roleCOVID vaccine is not required; flu vaccine mandatory during flu season unless medically exemptFree parking is provided for travelersBlocked scheduling is not allowed; all time off requests must be included during applicationFirst-time travelers are welcome with requisite Interventional Radiology experienceRequirements
