CareNational is seeking an experienced Market Medical Director for a hybrid leadership opportunity across Maricopa County (East and West Valley) and Mohave, AZ . Balance of administrative oversight and direct patient care
Responsibilities
Serve as clinical leader for the Arizona market provider team and co-lead for the multidisciplinary team
Supervise, train, and mentor advanced practice providers (NPs and PAs), including patient assessments, management of acute and chronic conditions, and care coordination in home and community settings
Conduct ongoing chart reviews, performance management, and provider ride-alongs
Oversee quality of care delivery and achievement of value-based metrics by advanced practice providers
Lead performance reviews, provide clinical teaching, and reinforce a value-based care mindset
Build and maintain relationships with market partners to ensure effective referral pathways and collaborative care models
Provide direct patient care for pediatric and adult populations with acute and chronic conditions
Support quality improvement initiatives, performance reporting, and clinical team development
Qualifications
Current Board Certification in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics OR Family Medicine
Active Arizona medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
Active DEA Controlled Substance Registration (or eligibility to obtain)
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience providing care to pediatric and adult patients with chronic medical and behavioral health conditions ( 5+ years preferred )
At least 2 years of leadership experience (residency leadership experience may be considered)
Strong leadership, teaching, and performance management skills
Commitment to value-based care and patient-centered outcomes
