Description :

The Occupational Therapist will provide care to adult patients in their home environment.

Responsibilities include assessing and treating patients with conditions such as cardiac, orthopedic, and neurological issues.

The therapist will focus on activities of daily living, cardiac rehab, edema management, feeding techniques, and splinting.

Knowledge of TENS and ultrasound therapy is preferred.

Standardized assessments and joint mobilization skills are essential.

Developing home exercise programs and educating patients and families on safety and injury prevention is required.

Must be able to perform lifting and transfer techniques as needed.

The position requires independent practice and the ability to schedule visits.

The daily visit requirement is a minimum of 6, with possible adjustments based on patient needs.

The therapist must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for home visits.

Additionally, compliance with vaccination requirements and safety protocols is mandatory.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable using electronic documentation systems.

Experience with home health care is essential, and candidates should be prepared for a variety of patient diagnoses.

This role includes interdisciplinary support from physical therapy and social services.
