American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Eureka, California.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current CA license and at least 3 years of critical care experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in an ICU within an acute care hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts, 19 : 00 to 5 : 30
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2
  • Uses Epic EMR system, Epic experience required
  • Floating is required between like units and to affiliate hospitals as needed
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • First time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Travelers must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
  • All RTO must be requested and approved at time of consideration
  • Scrubs are any solid color, typically Royal Blue or Navy
  • Free parking provided at orientation, assignment parking details given later
  • Pre-employment and annual modules required, averaging 16 hours to complete
  • Team members are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed

  • Active CA RN license is required at time of consideration
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 3 years recent ICU experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Willingness to float between facilities is mandatory
  • Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of recent ICU employment
  • Compliance with a 50-mile radius rule for local candidates
  • Former permanent staff must wait 3 months before returning as a traveler
