Travel : Certified Surgical Technician (CST) / OR – Days / Mids

Location : Key West, FL

Start : ASAP

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Flexible between Days / Mids; must be available for weekday and weekend call (day and / or night)

Preferred 8-hour shifts :

Days : 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 PM

Mids : 10 : 30 AM – 7 : 00 PM

If necessary, 12-hour shift option :

Days : 6 : 30 AM – 7 : 00 PM

Requirements :

CST certification required

BLS required

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a multispecialty OR, with strong experience in Orthopedics and C-Sections

No Open Heart or Neuro required

Job Summary :

Surgical Technologists prepare the operating room, including the sterile field, surgical instruments, supplies, and solutions. During procedures, they pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon, manage the sterile field, handle specimens, and perform sponge and supply counts to prevent retained objects. Surgical Technologists must maintain certification through completion of a CAAHEP-accredited program or other programmatically-accredited program and pass the national CST examination administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
