job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in the PACU within a Level 1 trauma and teaching hospital Patient population includes ages 14 and up, with a wide range of surgical cases such as GYN, Ortho, ENT, Urology, General Surgery, Colorectal, Spine, Transgender care, and late-term abortions Patient ratios are typically 1 : 3-4 Day shift (4x10s), Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM No weekend shifts required Mandatory on-call coverage for 2.5 hours at end of shift, 4-6 times per month Floating required within perianesthesia areas including an affiliate hospital Uses EPIC EMR system with required prior experience Provide post-anesthesia care for a diverse surgical patient population Full 40-hour orientation provided Block scheduling is not available Scrub color may be any color of your choice Team may include floats among different PACU locations and affiliate sites First-time travelers are welcome to apply No restrictions on local candidates; same pay rate applies No restrictions on RTO, but requests must be submitted and may not exceed 2 weeks Return staff must have a 6-month gap before returning as a traveler Holiday coverage is not required Active OR RN license required Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in a critical care setting such as ER, ICU, CCU, or PACU Certifications required : BLS and ACLS PACU experience required EPIC experience required Two manager or supervisor references within the last 24 months required for consideration Proof of COVID vaccination required—no exemptions accepted BSN, CPAN, or CAPA preferred but not required Pending OR licenses are accepted High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
