American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in a Level 1 trauma and teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of recent critical care experience and an active Oregon RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the PACU within a Level 1 trauma and teaching hospitalPatient population includes ages 14 and up, with a wide range of surgical cases such as GYN, Ortho, ENT, Urology, General Surgery, Colorectal, Spine, Transgender care, and late-term abortionsPatient ratios are typically 1 : 3-4Day shift (4x10s), Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PMNo weekend shifts requiredMandatory on-call coverage for 2.5 hours at end of shift, 4-6 times per monthFloating required within perianesthesia areas including an affiliate hospitalUses EPIC EMR system with required prior experienceProvide post-anesthesia care for a diverse surgical patient populationFull 40-hour orientation providedBlock scheduling is not availableScrub color may be any color of your choiceTeam may include floats among different PACU locations and affiliate sitesFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyNo restrictions on local candidates; same pay rate appliesNo restrictions on RTO, but requests must be submitted and may not exceed 2 weeksReturn staff must have a 6-month gap before returning as a travelerHoliday coverage is not required\n \n Requirements\n
Active OR RN license requiredMinimum 1 year of recent RN experience in a critical care setting such as ER, ICU, CCU, or PACUCertifications required : BLS and ACLSPACU experience requiredEPIC experience requiredTwo manager or supervisor references within the last 24 months required for considerationProof of COVID vaccination required—no exemptions acceptedBSN, CPAN, or CAPA preferred but not requiredPending OR licenses are accepted\n Benefits\n
