Pay Information

$1,300 to $1,550 per week

About The Position

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Weekly Pay : $1,550 Gross (based on 40 hrs / week)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 per week

Shift Options : Variable shifts available – 8 : 00a–4 : 30p, 9 : 00a–5 : 30p, 11 : 00a–7 : 30p

On-Call : Up to 2 on-call weekends per contract

Weekend / Holiday Requirements : 2–4 weekends per 13-week contract; no holiday coverage

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in Wausau, WI. The technician will be responsible for all activities within the Sterile Processing Department including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage of instrumentation, and equipment management. Position may also include work in sterile cores of the operating rooms.

Responsibilities :

Perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments and equipment

Follow policy / procedure to maintain infection control standards

Assist with inventory management and proper storage of sterile supplies

Collaborate with OR staff to ensure timely delivery of instruments

Additional Information :

Scrub color : Any

Orientation : GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week

Contract eligible for up to 36 hours low census unbillable time (traveler may be placed on call for low census hours; if called back, callback pay applies)

Job Requirements

Requirements :

Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience – REQUIRED

At least 1 prior travel assignment – REQUIRED

High School Diploma – REQUIRED

Certification in Sterile Processing

Graduation from a Sterile Processing program – Preferred

Experience with T-DOC system a plus

Flexibility to float to nearby facilities if needed (Merrill, Antigo, Medford, Stanley)
