Summary Description

Under the supervision of a Project Manager or Line Clearance Superintendent, responsible for trimming and clearing trees and vegetation from power lines to prevent electrical outages and maintain public safety

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential :

• Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures.
• Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company.
• Effectively manages the requisition, storage and safeguarding all equipment, tools and vehicles.
• Utilizes a variety of tools including but not limited to, chainsaws, pole saws, and pruners to ensure clearances meet utility safety standards.
• Prunes or removes branches, trees and vegetation within proximity to electrical lines.
• Follows best practices to ensure tree health and maintain aesthetics where possible.
• Conducts site inspections to identify hazards and assess the safest approach to trimming tasks.
• Operates equipment, including bucket trucks, woodchippers and various hand and power tools.
• Performs routine equipment checks to ensure that tools and machinery are safe and functional. Report any equipment issues.
• Collaborates with all other team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
• Participates in team discussions to understand daily objectives and safety updates.
• Responds to emergency service requests outside of regular working hours.
• Performs all other assigned duties and assists with high voltage initiatives.
• Keeps abreast of new developments and techniques in the line clearance industry.
