Job Type : Part-time | Variable 12-hour shifts and 2 Weekends per month with Holiday rotation

Our ICU is a dynamic and diverse unit, specializing in trauma, surgical, medical, and cardiac care. We have 25 beds and offer flexible scheduling with 12-hour shifts available rotating between both days and nights. Our team includes a dedicated unit educator and a group of experienced charge nurses. We have implemented many technologic advances to ensure high-quality care for our patients.
How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role :
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs
Evaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Floats to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include :
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS Certification within 1 year of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire;
Handle with Care to be received within 30 days of orientation and kept annually
