Security Officer - Retail Patrol Pt

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol PT in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a patrol unarmed officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all. Your presence and attention to detail will help create a secure atmosphere, while your customer service skills will support positive interactions with staff and visitors. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM Fri 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while on duty.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and guidelines while performing assigned duties.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
