Overview

BEPC is actively looking for Device Development Lab Engineer in South San Francisco, CA area!

W2 Contract – 1 year with possible extensions Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Pay Rate : $37.00 - $43.00 / hour Schedule : Onsite role

Note

This is a W2 only role — C2C, C2H will not be considered

Responsibilities

  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of all equipment and technologies used in the device development lab.
  • Develop, optimize, and validate automated or semi-automated test methods for device testing and analysis.
  • Qualify computerized systems used in the lab to ensure they meet all regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Perform detailed data analysis and interpretation of test results to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Author and / or review procedures, protocols, and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing, to support device development projects.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to lab equipment and testing procedures.
  • Proactively seek and implement improvements to lab processes and methodologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • B.S. / B.A. in Engineering, Physics, Applied Science, or related discipline.
  • Proficiency with a variety of lab equipment and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of automated and semi-automated test method development and validation.
  • Experience with programming and automating test equipment.
  • Experience with qualifying computerized systems.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and statistical tools.
  • Majority of work is completed in a laboratory-type setting. PPE (e.g., safety glasses) required whenever working in the laboratory.
  • Ability to make repetitive motions and manual manipulations of samples.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Experience with FDA regulations (preferred).
