Responsibilities : Position Summary :

The Emergency Department secretary / monitor technician provides clerical support to the nurses, physicians, and Department Director. In addition to the timely and efficient initiation of patient care orders; he / she is responsible for coordinating communication within the department and hospital. He / she will maintain par levels of necessary office and chart supplies and follow through with equipment repair and maintenance.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications :

BLS Certification

Knowledge of Medical Terminology

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications :

Previous experience as unit secretary / monitor technician
