Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level III Trauma Center requiring IN or compact RN license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in the Emergency Department (ED) of a short-term acute care hospital

Level III Trauma Center setting with a 244-bed capacity

Night shift, 3x12 hours from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30

Every other weekend required and minimum one holiday per contract

Floating required to the Clinical Decision Unit (Observation Unit, 1 : 5 ratio) and occasionally to critical care based on experience or as additional support

Cerner EMR experience required

Primary responsibilities include delivering comprehensive emergency nursing care in a trauma center environment

Candidates may support observation and critical care units based on hospital needs

Royal blue scrubs are required

Free parking is available for staff

Strict professional conduct is required; any unprofessional behavior or unexcused call-offs may result in contract termination

Requirements

Active IN or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required

Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS

Conscious sedation competency required

Cerner EMR experience required

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Must complete up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules within a week of acceptance

Return staff must have a gap of 3 years before being eligible
