Summary The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician plays an integral part in the safe and successful production of refractory brick products at HarbisonWalker International Fairfield plant.
This role is responsible for the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical fixtures and control equipment within the plant to ensure that equipment and wiring are to code and optimal levels of quality and safety are met.
This role is also responsible for insuring production equipment and machinery is functioning properly and performing routine preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery.
In addition, the Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech maintains clean and safe work environment as well as maintains professional working relationships with co-workers. Responsibilities Analyzing and troubleshooting electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing, and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delays.
Performing electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
Troubleshooting and modifying ladder logic programs on Siemens and Allen Bradly PLCs.
Troubleshooting of various VFDs / Motor Controls / Hardwire relay logic electrical processes.
Reading blueprints to analyze and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and HVAC systems, diagnosing, and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delays; analyzing and troubleshooting electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing, and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delays; Performing mechanical and electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
Performing preventative maintenance or repairs on all production and facility equipment (hydraulic presses, conveyors, mixing machines, etc.) adhering to published PM schedules; utilizing original equipment manufacturer and technical literature to coordinate preventive maintenance, systematic maintenance, predictive maintenance, and critical spares.
