Overview

Come and join a leader in the Engineering industry seeking an experienced Chief Civil Engineer to join our team. This role is focused on overseeing all civil engineering projects, including design, development, and implementation. The ideal candidate will be a natural problem-solver with a deep understanding of infrastructure planning, civil engineering principles, and project management.

Base pay range

$130,000.00 / yr - $175,000.00 / yr

Salary range is provided by Jobot. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Job Details

Our organization is seeking a seasoned and innovative Chief Civil Engineer to lead our engineering team. You will oversee all civil engineering projects, including design, development, and implementation. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with expertise in infrastructure planning, civil engineering principles, and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, including resources, timelines, and budgets.
  • Review and approve project designs and plans to meet codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and contractors, to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Perform quality control checks on projects, identifying issues and areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment to meet project requirements and quality standards.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; a Master's degree is highly advantageous.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior civil engineering role.
  • Proficient in using engineering software for design and simulation.
  • Extensive experience with QC, drawings, and civil engineering principles.
  • Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
