Re : fab is looking for experienced carpenters to work as subcontractors for an upcoming commercial project in your area.

In this position, the subcontractor will be responsible for all aspects of pricing, building, installing, and repairing structures and other items using different types of materials including wood and other building materials for our commercial renovation division. Our ideal candidate must be familiar with various types of commercial remodeling : demolition, framing, sheetrock, ceiling and cabinets installation.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with our estimating team on job quotes
• Measure, mark, and arrange materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from re : fab supervisors
• Cut and shape structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
• Use various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects
• Join materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive
• Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed
• Install windows, doors, cabinets, partitions, moldings, etc.
• Remodel homes and businesses
• Perform carpentry work in a neat, organized and timely manner
• Work with our operations team to obtain permits for construction work to be performed, if needed
• Work collaboratively with the re : fab estimating and operations team
• Keep detailed reports of work completed and report daily logs to re : fab team
• Complete jobs on time and budget
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, and adhere to company standards and safety program
• Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines
