Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position with Med Surg floating responsibilities and night shift work.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with responsibilities in Postpartum, Nursery, and Mother / Baby care
  • Required to float and assist in the Med Surg unit when OB patient census is low
  • Night shift schedule : 3x12-hour shifts, 7 : 00 p.m. - 7 : 00 a.m.
  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend
  • Uses the Meditech EMR system
  • Must be comfortable handling Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, and Med Surg patient care needs
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Facility housing is available at a slightly reduced rate
  • Team members may be required to help in Med Surg as support staff during low OB census
  • No radius or local restrictions; local candidates accepted at the same rate

  • Active MO or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
  • Fetal monitoring skills required
  • Willingness to float to Med Surg and assist as needed
