Scheduler - Construction
As a Scheduler at Kiewit's Northern California District, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient completion of our construction projects and estimates. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project and estimate schedules, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring that all project milestones are met.
Kiewit's Northern California District is one of Kiewit's leading infrastructure districts specializing in various types of work in the heavy civil, power, transportation, and water resource markets. Although most of our work is regionally based in Northern California, we also pursue various projects across the west coast.
This position will be based out of our office in Fairfield, CA.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development, maintenance, and review of discipline, project, and estimate schedules
- Assist in bid schedule creation per client requirements
- Prepare standard progress reports for each assigned project
- Read and interpret construction drawings and job specifications
- Confirm project status; identify and report on variations in the schedule in a timely manner
- Upload original and updated resources to reflect current status
- Maintain careful documentation of all schedule submittals and related facts, so that any requests for time adjustments can be measured against the accepted schedule in place at the time any delays or changes were experienced.
- Coordinate with project team to develop revision or recovery schedules as needed
- Prepare written narratives for all schedule submittals
- Track the contract document requirements for schedule adherence, as well as change orders and contract amendments
- Interpret performance curve data and forecast productivity; provide manpower information for forecasting
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field5-8 years of experience actively running a project schedule for large-scale projects utilizing Primavera 6 is requiredStrong attention to detail; ability to recognize discrepanciesProficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Suite and Primavera 6Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a teamCommitted to working safely and getting the job done right the first timeOther requirements :
