KLINE is looking for a Structural Engineer I or Structural Engineer II to join our Miami office on-site . This is an immediate opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career and help design smarter, stronger, and more efficient concrete structures.

About the Role

Youll be part of a collaborative team working on cutting-edge post-tensioned concrete design for commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings. Success in this role means delivering high-quality, constructible designs, solving engineering challenges proactively, and taking ownership of your portion of the project while working closely with teammates and clients. As a key member of our Manassas team, youll help KLINE continue to lead the industry in structural innovation, while enjoying growth opportunities in a supportive, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design post-tensioned concrete structures and other structural systems (steel, wood, etc.)
  • Conduct structural evaluations, restoration strategies, and condition assessments
  • Review submittals and respond to RFIs during construction phase
  • Perform on-site construction visits and site assessments as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate across disciplines
  • Take ownership of deliverables while supporting project managers and engineers
  • Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and client communications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year of structural design experience
  • Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, and wood design, including the ability to apply the required provisions of design codes (experience with wood framing and detailing is especially valued)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit (post-tensioning design is a plus!)
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Desire to grow within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial firm
