Remote Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Divisional Coder I Remote.

Key Responsibilities

Assign codes to ER and outpatient ancillary medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT codes

Communicate coding-related issues affecting claims processing and coding accuracy

Ensure timely completion of coding assignments and maintain a coding accuracy of 96% or higher

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a medical coding certificate program or a two-year Health Information Management program

One certification required : RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CPC-P

1-3 years of experience in emergency room and ancillary coding preferred

Basic coding knowledge and familiarity with coding guidelines

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and coding software
