WE ARE GROWING! Ozaukee Child Care and Preschool is a non-profit organization that celebrated 50 years in business in 2025! We are currently in the process of expanding and are hiring experienced early childhood professionals to join our already amazing team!

We are in search of fun-loving, flexible, and nurturing individuals who can work with a variety of ages in a group child care setting. In addition to following the daily lessons, including art projects, science, fine gross motor activities, the candidate will also be required to keep classrooms clean and organized and follow all state licensing guidelines to keep children safe and properly cared for throughout the day.

Desired Qualifications :
- Some experience in child care
- Must be 18 years old and have completed high school or equivalent
- Higher education coursework related to early childhood education preferred
- CPR, Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS, and Child Abuse and Neglect trainings required which can be received after hired.
- Ideally the candidate will have met the early childhood education class requirements as well as has some related experience working with children in a licensed or professional setting.
Duties
Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standardsLead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.Maintain accurate records, forms and files.Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.Requirements
Some professional child care experience.Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.A strong understanding of child development.Infant / child CPR and First Aid certification.Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ideally the candidate will have met the early childhood education class requirements as well as has some related experience working with children in a licensed or professional setting.Benefits
