Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Title Officer to join our team remotely while supporting operations in Flagstaff, AZ. In this role, you will play a critical part in reviewing, analyzing, and processing title documents to ensure seamless property transactions. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of title underwriting and escrow processes, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review title orders, commitments, and policies to identify and resolve title issues or discrepancies.
- Perform title searches and examinations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Communicate with escrow officers, clients, real estate agents, and lenders to address questions and provide solutions to title-related concerns.
- Prepare and issue title commitments and title insurance policies in a timely manner.
- Research and resolve title defects, such as liens, judgments, and encumbrances, to clear titles for closing.
- Maintain accurate records of title documents and correspondence in the companys systems.
- Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to support a high volume of transactions and meet client expectations.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field is a plus).Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in title examination, underwriting, or a related role within the Escrow & Title industry.Experience with Title work on sectional communities and Lot & Block title work.Comprehensive knowledge of real estate transactions, title insurance, and escrow procedures.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and title software systems (e.g., SoftPro, ResWare, or similar).Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze complex title documents.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet strict deadlines in a high-paced environment.Familiarity with Arizona-specific real estate laws and regulations is a plus.
