Responsibilities Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a hospital setting Night shift schedule from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM Every other weekend and holiday shifts required Care for critically ill adult patients, including those with hypothermia, balloon pumps, and pulmonary artery lines Uses EPIC for electronic charting and documentation Floating and on-call not specified Primary responsibilities include providing critical care to ICU patients and managing advanced equipment such as balloon pumps and pulmonary artery lines All new hires must pass a hospital-provided ECG exam on arrival; study material will be sent prior to start date Failure to achieve the minimum ECG exam score or identify critical rhythms may result in contract termination Must be available to work all major holidays as scheduled This position does not accept candidates from specified local counties due to facility policy Requirements Active New York State RN license required Minimum 3 years of current ICU nursing experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Demonstrated experience with hypothermia treatment, balloon pumps, and pulmonary artery lines required Must have EPIC experience Completion of a timed, closed-book on-site ECG exam with a minimum passing score of 85% required Must not reside in specified New York counties : Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, or Albany Candidates employed as staff at this facility within the past year or full time within the AMC network in the past six months are not eligible Facility physical exam required at candidate's expense Annual influenza vaccination required, with approved medical or religious documentation if declining; documentation due 10 days before start Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626781.
