PCU RN Job Details Location : Wichita Falls, TX 76301 (North Texas healthcare jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Unit : Resource RN – PCU Float (Med Surg, ER holding) Start Date : December 8 or December 15, 2025 (firm) End Date : March 9, 2026 Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract Shifts : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 00) Hours : 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee Estimated Weekly Pay : $1700-$1820 Number of Positions : 2 PCU RN jobs available Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Texas or compact state; must be in hand before start date) Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in PCU, Med Surg, or ER Previous travel nursing experience required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required for PCU nursing jobs) Experience with Epic charting system preferred Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Willingness to float between Med Surg, PCU, and ER holding units Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance PCU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations in PCU, Med Surg, and ER holding units Float as needed to support various hospital units based on staffing needs Manage patient ratios (typically 5 : 1 on days, 6 : 1 on nights) Utilize Epic for accurate documentation and charting Perform advanced nursing skills : cardiac telemetry, central line care, blood product administration, and more Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy) Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards Discover the benefits of travel nursing in Wichita Falls, TX—a city known for its supportive healthcare community, vibrant arts scene, and scenic outdoor spaces.
