Behavioral Health Counselor - Grant CVSD Substance Abuse Program - Full Time (Binghamton)

Summary :

• Provides behavioral health counseling services.
• Responsibilities : Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.
• Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
• Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
• Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

Education : Must have a minimum of a bachelors degree in behavioral health or related field.

Licenses : No licensing required

Essential Functions : Provide behavioral health counseling and education for students centered around substance use prevention.

Other Duties : Attend school related meetings as requested by the district.

The pay range for this position is $20-25 / hr
