Quality Engineer - WSMR, New Mexico

Join to apply for the Quality Engineer - WSMR, New Mexico role at Lockheed Martin . You will be the Quality Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control at our campus at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, and you will play a key role in supporting the Air & Missile Defense test activities at the WSMR facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications. You will work independently and as part of a team to identify and resolve quality issues, support test operations, and drive continuous improvement.
• Support Air & Missile Defense test activities at WSMR, including documentation, assembly, and test of weapon systems and subsystems
• Work independently to uncover and resolve quality issues, and collaborate with technicians, inspectors, and engineers in an ordnance test environment
• Support ground and flight test operations at WSMR and other test sites, often in harsh conditions and / or during extended hours
• Analyze and resolve process issues, and participate in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to disposition non-conforming hardware and identify root causes
• Perform assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and ISO-9001 / AS9100
• Interface with customers and program personnel on quality-related issues, and utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement
• Make final decisions on acceptability of product, and support the site with reviews of quality data on rework, scrap, and nonconformances
