Position : Field Implementation Specialist

Location : Major West Coast City within 25 miles from airport; 100% travel

Duration : Contract to Hire- 18 month minimum; up to 36 months (max) before converting to FTE

The Field Implementation Specialist is a national position that serves as the primary liaison representative providing post-sales customer support during the installation, implementation, and training of clinical chemistry and immunoassay analyzers / instruments at customer sites.

You will be mentored to provide highly visible, self-supervised, self-directed, and extensive onsite advisory customer support. While some job tasks may be performed remotely, this is a field-based, national role which requires 95% travel to client sites, including overnight travel Mon-Fri every week.

The Opportunity

  • Learns and provides entry-level support as the primary liaison / customer support representative throughout each customer implementation
  • Validates analyzer installations
  • Identify training gaps by assessing customers' organizational structure, analyzers / instruments, workflow, and current knowledge / experience
  • Develops and delivers training to customers on customer platforms, processes and expectations, including planning and coordination for implementation
  • Provides first-level and problem solving of issues that arise for customers during the lifecycle of the solution; refers only the most complex issues to higher levels
  • Identifies opportunities for new system consumables for clients (i.e. reagents, primary antibodies, bio-markers, software)
  • This is a field based role

Who You Are

  • Associate’s degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences
  • 3 years previous experience in a clinical laboratory or IT support in a clinical lab environment
  • ASCP Certification
  • Preferences

  • Ability and willingness to rapidly gain and apply new knowledge, solutions, and skills for chemistry and IT solutions
  • Effective customer communication skills (written and verbal), positive attitude, helpful customer interaction, and fostering of strong internal and external customer relationships
  • Effective time-management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work as a field-based individual contributor with independence and autonomy
