Job Summary
As a Production Manager for Cell or Electrode teams, you will be responsible for leading production teams to meet customer and operational requirements in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This role is accountable for driving production excellence, improving yield and productivity, maintaining a safe and compliant workplace, and developing team leaders and operators.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations in cell and electrode areas to achieve KPI targets (OEE, yield, throughput, quality).
- Conduct production planning and resource allocation to meet production schedules.
- Identify controllable failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Direct root cause analyses (8D methodology) and corrective action plans for all production issues.
- Ensure production environment is maintained to its fullest capability, managing consumables, spare parts, and repair costs.
- Collaborate with Quality, Technology, Equipment, and Inspection teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Lead and participate in weekly Quality review meetings.
- Manage and evaluate supervisors, shift leaders, and operators.
- Support hiring, retention, training, and performance management of production staff.
- Coach and mentor team leaders to build leadership capability and sustain high performance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and fire regulations.
- Conduct Layered Process Audits and enforce adherence to SOPs.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization per 5S3R standards : Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container.
- Work cross-functionally to resolve issues and align with corporate and global HQ standards.
- Support reporting requirements and provide updates to leadership on performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support start-up and ongoing production operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field); MBA / MS preferred.Strong background in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, or high-volume automated manufacturing.Experience
10+ years of manufacturing experience with 7+ years in leadership / management roles required.Experience managing large-scale production lines and automated equipment required.Proven track record of leading multiple teams and driving production results.Experience implementing and sustaining 5S / Lean principles preferred.Skills
Strong leadership, coaching, and accountability skills.Proficiency in MS Office and manufacturing software systems.Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments.Ability to work flexible hours, including to support HQ / global sites.Benefits
