Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Phlebotomy Technician / Medical Assistant to join our clinical team in Williamsburg and Newport News, VA. This role is essential to supporting our physicians and enhancing the patient experience through skilled specimen collection and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for laboratory testing
- Ensure accurate labeling, handling, and documentation of specimens
- Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA and company protocols
- Assist with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and supporting physicians during procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Follow established medical terminology and laboratory procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
Qualifications
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional medical assistant training or certifications are a plusStrong knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory medicineProven proficiency in venipuncture and specimen handlingExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
