Overview

Exciting contract Quality Engineer – Software opportunity with an established firm. This position will be hybrid local to Oakland, CA, Alpharetta, GA or Rancho Cordova, CA. W2 only / no c2c / H1.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

• Defines and creates detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test strategies
• Reviews requirements and specifications to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Creates detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimates, prioritizes, plans and coordinates testing activities
• Executes test cases and / or automation scripts and identifies and documents defects thoroughly
• Manual claims segment testing and application level testing
• Applies test standards and testing processes (i.e. SDLC, Agile)
• Collaborates with internal teams (i.e. developers, product managers, administrators) to identify new requirements to improve quality
• Investigates the causes of routine defects and implements new processes and / or solutions (i.e. software upgrade)
• Installs, configures and maintains testing programs
• Analyzes quality assurance metrics and creates test summary reports
• Creates reports and analyzes data to identify solutions that meet business goals
• Analyzes current processes and identifies existing or potential problems in order to discover new process improvement opportunities
