Food and Beverage Manager

Company : Shamin Hotels

Organizational Structure : Food and Beverage

Reports To : General Manager

Supervision : Food and Beverage Associates

Pay Structure : Paid Bi-weekly

Position Overview :

The Food and Beverage Manager oversees all aspects of the food and beverage operations, ensuring high standards of customer service, efficiency, and profitability.

Responsibilities :

Strategic Planning : Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the food and beverage department's goals and objectives. Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Collaborate with senior management to establish budgets, revenue targets, and performance metrics.

Operational Management : Direct and supervise all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, banquet facilities, and room service. Ensure that all outlets are properly staffed, equipped, and stocked to meet customer demand. Monitor daily operations to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. Implement efficient workflows and procedures to maximize productivity and minimize waste.

Staff Leadership : Recruit, train, and motivate a team of food and beverage service staff. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure staff members are meeting performance expectations. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professional development. Handle staffing issues, including scheduling, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Customer Service Excellence : Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a prompt and professional manner. Monitor guest satisfaction levels and implement corrective actions as needed. Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers and key accounts.

Financial Management : Manage food and beverage budgets, including cost control, revenue forecasting, and expense management. Analyze financial reports and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Implement pricing strategies, promotions, and menu adjustments to maximize profitability. Monitor inventory levels and food costs to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.

Quality and Safety Compliance : Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and standards. Implement and enforce hygiene protocols for food handling, storage, and preparation. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, or related field (preferred). Proven experience in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Sound knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, industry trends, and best practices. Familiarity with financial management principles and budgeting. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
