FINANCIAL PLANNING PRINCIPAL
STATUS : Exempt DEPARTMENT : Financial Planning
BASIC FUNCTION
The Planning Principal position collaborates with the Investment Principal and Trust Principal assigned clients to evaluate short- and long-term financial goals, ascertaining at the outset of a client engagement and on a periodic basis the specifics of a client’s current financial situation and goals. The Planning Principal position assesses the ability to meet goals and objectives through analyzing net worth, cash flow, insurance coverage, investments, and tax strategies. This position creates a written financial plan, illustrating the benefits and disadvantages of various options which are presented to the client. After selecting the optimum plan, the Glenview Team will assist in implementing the plan’s strategies. Perform special analysis as required by a client’s unique circumstance or as requested by colleagues.

Analyze 529 college savings plans, Roth IRA conversions, Social Security benefits, Long Term Care options / necessity, Stock Option decisions, and coordinate life insurance and annuity contract review.
Counsel and support clients on various issues with an impact on personal finances.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Ability to assess and interpret client needs to design personalized planning strategies.
B. Ability to maintain a high level of concentration with frequent time pressures and occasional interruptions.
C. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
D. Ability to maintain sustained visual attention for considerable periods of time.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
A. CPA or JD designation required.
B. 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
C. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
D. Certified Financial Planner desirable
E. 5-10 years minimum financial experience in trust administration, wealth management organizations, or public accounting.
F. Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, SalesForce, Money Guide Pro, and NaviPlan
