Inspection Technician
Momentum Solar is a premier residential solar provider with offices throughout the U.S. Founded in 2009, Momentum has grown exponentially over the past decade. We implement the entire solar process to ensure a seamless transition to renewable energy.
The Inspection Technicians focus will be to provide a professional inspection for the Momentum design team for the preparation of photovoltaic projects as well as after the project is completed. This is an entry level position where the ideal candidate will be skilled, prideful in their craft, motivated and willing to learn. We are looking for a dependable candidate who will be able to maintain a high level of business ethics, professionalism and excelled communication between their Momentum team, customers and upper management.

Requirements :
Perform pre-inspection of system prior to inspectors arrivalOpen electrical panels and junction boxes so the inspector can observeObtain necessary pictures and documents when neededInstall place cards and label equipmentObtain final inspection stickersSet up and tie off ladders as necessary for city / county inspectorsBuild and maintain strong relationships with local inspection officesWork independently with minimum supervisionPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications :
A minimum of one (1) year experience in a discipline related to construction or building sciences; estimating or site assessment, PV, energy efficiency experience is preferred but not requiredHigh School or GED requiredExcellent customer service skills requiredMust be able to work unsupervised for extended periods of timeExperience working in or around electric panels preferredAbility to organize and maintain paper documents, electronic photos, and filesExcellent written communication skills are required when working with inspectorsAbility to perform basic math with or without the use of an electronic deviceProficiency with smartphone applications and digital camerasBasic computer skills including the ability to copy files and communicate via emailAbility to read plans, specifications, diagrams, equipment submittals, and material data sheetsAbility to follow standardized processes while working unassistedAbility to interact, communicate and provide detailed summaries of work performed to the homeowner and management teamAbility to interact with co-workers and participate in daily / weekly meetingsPhysical Requirements :
