Schedule

  • Full time, every week
  • Monday-Friday, 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm
  • Start time for MAC blocks is 7 : 30a

    • Clinical Details

  • Outpatient Clinic and GI Procedure Lab
  • Number of Physicians in Department : 3 Gastroenterologists; 5 Colorectal Surgeons
  • Patient Population Mix : 100% Adult, Geriatrics
  • Average Number of Cases per day : 40% Clinic w / 30-minute consult intervals and 15-30-minute returns. 60% GI procedure lab w / length of scheduled procedure based on average of last 30 cases. Sedation is procedure sedation or MAC based on criteria. Separate MAC blocks for patients that meet MAC criteria
  • Level I Trauma Center
  • Number of Beds : 489
  • GI Hospitalist will do inpatient procedures

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Active IL License, DEA / CSR - Highly Preferred

    • will accept IMLC LOQ in hand

  • ACLS, BLS
  • Clean and easy-to-credential candidates - Highly Preferred
  • Procedures Required : moderate sedation, outpatient colonoscopy and EGD
  • ERCP and EUS skills - Preferred

    • Support Staff

  • 6 full-time and 2 part-time Ambulatory APPs in clinic
  • RN and CMA / MA in clinic
  • RN and Surg tech in Procedures

    • EMR
