Key Job Details – Texas Nursing Jobs Location : San Angelo, TX (76903) – Texas nursing jobs Facility : Busy Labor & Delivery Unit (15 beds) Employment Type : Travel nursing (locum tenens) Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 13 / 2025 – End : 1 / 12 / 2026) Shifts : Night shifts, 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $2040-$2100 Charting System : Epic EMR Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (3 years preferred) Travel nursing experience highly preferred Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state Accredited nursing degree BLS certification (American Heart Association) ACLS certification (within 1 year of hire) NRP certification (within 6 months of hire) Breastfeeding education (within 90 days of hire) Fetal Monitoring competency Epic charting experience required COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Ability to float to similar units as needed L&D RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in a busy Labor & Delivery unit with 100-200 births per month Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and vaginal births Perform and assist with procedures : amniocentesis, sterile speculum exams, cervical cerclage Deliver breastfeeding and lactation support Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns; perform fetal monitoring Administer medications : Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, and more Manage postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension Start and maintain IVs, central lines, and infusion pumps Provide couplet care for mothers and newborns Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services) Float to similar units as needed to support patient care Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in San Angelo, Texas.
