What You'll Do

  • Serve as a primary contact for member inquiries via phone, email, fax, and written correspondence
  • Make outbound calls to members and providers as needed
  • Ensure claims are processed accurately and in accordance with policy provisions
  • Investigate and analyze medical, dental, and vision claims

  • Qualifications

    What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
  • Medical office experience including reception work with exposure to the billing of medical claims and / or verifying medical benefits with insurance companies.
  • Strong telephone customer service and communication skills
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and navigating computer systems
  • Ability to multitask and meet quality and production goals
  • Willingness to earn a medical terminology certification within 6 months of hire
  • Work Schedule

  • Hybrid schedule : MondayFriday, 8 : 15 a.m. 5 : 00 p.m.
  • Must be onsite MondayThursday during training
  • Occasional Saturday hours may be required
  • Note : 100% remote work is not available

  • This position primarily involves sedentary work, requiring the employee to sit for extended periods.
  • Must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer screen, reading, and analyzing data.
  • Requires manual dexterity for frequent use of a keyboard and other office equipment.
  • Occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds) may be required, such as handling files or office supplies.
  • The employee must be able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email.
