Freezer Material Handler Lead - 3rd Shift
Location : Holland, MI
Reports To : Warehouse Floor Supervisor
Position Summary
This role combines hands-on work with leadership responsibilities, guiding the team and actively participating in warehouse and freezer operations to meet production, quality, safety, and maintenance standards. The lead coordinates daily activities to ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance, while providing support, resolving issues, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship and daily servant leadership to guide, support, and empower the team while optimizing resource use
- Serve as the shift’s front-line leader, guiding the team, managing daily workflow expectations, and actively participating in freezer material handling tasks
- Partner with Warehouse Leadership to develop, track, and communicate KPI’s educate the team, and hold team members accountable to drive performance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained, including daily safety checks
- Offer ongoing feedback on team performance, partnering with leadership on formal and informal performance discussions
- Support team growth through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on training
- Uphold all safety standards, operational SOPs, and GMP requirements on the production floor

Qualifications
Safety-first mindset3-5 years of Food Safety and Food Quality experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in a relevant field preferredMinimum of 5 years of related warehouse and leadership experienceStrong team leadership skills with a focus on direction, support, accountability, and meeting production goalsSkilled in operating all material handling equipment and maintaining require lift truck certificationStrong computer proficiency, including ERP / WMS systems, third-party shipping software, and Microsoft OfficeExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailSolid technical background, with relevant process understanding and hands-on experienceAbility to maintain accurate records and manage multiple prioritiesPhysical Requirements
Work 50+ hours per week, including overtime as business needs requireLift and carry up to 70lbsStand and move throughout an 8-12 hour shiftFrequent bending, stooping, twisting, and gripping; good manual dexterity requiredRepetitive lifting, pushing, pullingAbility to climb stairs, ramps, or ladders, if neededSufficient vision to safely perform duties on the warehouse or production floor, including operating material handling equipmentExposure to cold / freezer temperatures (-20 degrees)Use of personal protective equipment (PPE as required)Benefits
