Front Desk Agent (Flexible AM / PM shifts)

SpringHill Suites Miami DT-Medical Center (Marriott)

Position Overview : As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a seamless check-in and check-out experience while providing exceptional customer service. You will play a vital role in representing our hotel, addressing guest inquiries, and handling various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately using the hotel's Property Management System (PMS).
  • Handle and resolve guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Provide information about the hotel, its amenities, and the surrounding area to enhance the guest experience.
  • Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Manage cash handling, including processing payments and maintaining accurate cash drawer balances.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready for check-in and handle any issues that arise during a guest's stay.
  • Maintain the front desk area and ensure it is organized and welcoming.
  • Uphold hotel standards for hygiene, safety, and security at all times.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and reporting as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance guest satisfaction and achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
  • Proficient in computer systems; experience with hotel PMS is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest service.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
