Senior Azure Data Engineer (Remote, Must Live in Arizona)

LHH is currently conducting a direct hire search for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Azure experience in Phoenix, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing office and a collaborative team. Review the job requirements below and please apply if you feel you are a good fit.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise data solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams to build custom data warehousing and database systems
• Estimate and manage tasks including bugs and spikes, ensuring accurate planning and execution within your domain
• Develop high-quality software that meets established code standards and performance metrics
• Foster strong working relationships internally and externally to support collaborative development
• Navigate data dependencies across teams and communicate effectively to resolve issues
• Stay current with cloud data technologies, design patterns, and development trends to inform engineering decisions
• Support customer and end-user issue resolution, contributing to overall system stability and user satisfaction

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, database solution design, and data modeling best practices

Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Azure (Data Factory, Data Lake, Function App), and tools like Spark, Synapse, Kafka, and ELT pipelines

Familiarity with data governance, security, and accessibility best practices to ensure robust and compliant data systems
